Sutter County Deaf and Hard Hearing Program
Discover more about the Sutter Co. DHH Program offered at Central Gaither Elementary

Central Gaither is the home of the Sutter County Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program (DHH). This program services Sutter, Yuba, and Colusa counties for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Students begin in the program at 3 years of age and move on to the high school after 8th grade. The program focuses on the development of language, communication, academic, and social skills. Some students spend most of their day in the general education classroom with sign language interpreters, and others spend most of their time in one of the three deaf and hard of hearing classes. The DHH staff feels so fortunate to be here at Central Gaither where the general education staff ensures that all of our students are included and feel so much a part of the Central Gaither Family.
